I wrote last year about purchasing a Fitbit Flex for myself and how much I love it. I still love it but I was getting seriously tired of the black band.
Now I wear a lot of black so it wasn’t that I don’t like the color, but I’m a girl who likes to change things up (except for black pants – I seldom wear any other color). I did, however, want to be able to change my Fitbit band to coordinate with whatever color I was wearing and the same old black was getting pretty boring.
So I did as I always do and let my fingers do the shopping. I’d already looked in a couple of stores we frequent and couldn’t find any replacement bands that would work. But I did find this great set of 15 bands on Amazon and I LOVE them! While you do get another black and a few darker colors, I’m very happy with the variety of colors included.
This set from I-smile also comes with the little metal snap piece that enables you to adjust the length of your Fitbit. And not just one either – there was one for each band! No need to pop out the snap when you change bands.
Colorful alternatives to the basic black Fitbit band
I couldn’t be happier and I’ve already worn three different colors (and I’ve only had them for four days). I especially like the purple, teal, and light aqua. I probably won’t wear the red one because I don’t have a single thing in my wardrobe that’s red (some redheads don’t wear red well and I’m one who doesn’t).
The package does, of course, include several other neutrals in addition to black. I admit that I probably won’t wear the brown or the gray, but I will wear the white, navy, and olive green one (I forgot to include the navy and olive ones in the picture).
What I’m happiest about, though, is the price. It does vary slightly depending on whether you choose the small bands or the larger ones. My wrist is a little bigger so I needed the larger ones. But for less than $15 I feel like I’ve gotten a bargain – one which I’d been hunting for for months.
For those of you who have the Fitbit Flex, you’re not left out. This one lets you choose from 9 different color stainless steel, including blue, purple, gold, silver, gold. This pack of 10 bands includes blue, aqua, pink, plus others. And then there’s this pack that not only has fun colors but patterns as well – floral, geometric, animal print – this link has a little of everything! Whatever your color preferences, you’ll likely find something that suits your tastes.
Goodness knows I need to wear my Fitbit at all times to encourage me to get those steps in. Since I’m a writer it’s awfully easy to realize that I haven’t moved all day which isn’t good for my health (it doesn’t do my rear end any good either). Making sure I get more exercise is one of my goals for this year and if I can have a little colorful fun at the same time — all the better.
So how are you coming with your fitness goals for the year?
